Emerge helps with new TrueNorth, LCMP Partnership

Monday, September 10th, 2007

tncalcmp.gifAn historic day for the Arts in Lorain County occurred recently when TrueNorth Cultural Arts and Lorain County Metro Parks announced their new partnership. French Creek Nature Center will be the new headquarters for TrueNorth.

TrueNorth’s mission is to offer entertainment, education and creative excellence in the arts to the surrounding communities. This is accomplished by offering classes in Music, Theater, Dance, Visual Arts and Special Needs.

As part of the partnership, participants can register for TrueNorth programs through the Lorain County Metro Parks online registration system, which was developed by Emerge.

Emerge worked with both the Metro Parks and TrueNorth to upgrade the reservation system to integrate TrueNorth class registration and the ability to purchase TrueNorth memberships. This also included creating special reports to breakout TrueNorth reservations and revenue.

For more information on the TrueNorth and Metro Parks partnership, please visit the websites for Lorain County Metro Parks and TrueNorth Cultural Arts.

Emerge launches new website for Emerge

Monday, September 10th, 2007

emergewebsite2.gifFor more than a year now, we have had serious discussions of updating the Emerge website. The previous site wasn’t bad, but so much of our business had evolved and the Internet was evolving very quickly.

At Emerge, we always have tons of internal projects we plan to complete at some point. To ensure we don’t spread ourselves too thin or interfere with the work we perform for clients, we prioritize and build timelines.

When we opened the Columbus office in January, we really laid out a plan for the year that called for a focusing on LorainCounty.com’s technical infrastructure from January through June, and then revamping the Emerge website and launching by September.

We beat our goal by 1-week when we launched the new site on August 24th.

The new site builds around our new theme, “Emerge works with forward-thinking organizations to develop successful websites, web-based Applications and Interactive Marketing Programs.”

Personally, I am most proud of the ‘Emerge Process’ page. I think this conveys Emerge’s organizational culture in a very clear and concise fashion.

Additionally, this Emerge blog will provide an opportunity for members of the Emerge team to share their thoughts and expertise.

The website will continue to expand over the next couple of months as we add additional details and (don’t tell Google) we work on our search engine optimization.
