Authorize.net down for 10 hours on Friday
Sunday, July 5th, 2009A fire (official statement) at a large data center in Seattle caused outages for Authorize.net, the largest credit card and e-check payment processor in the world. Thousands of online sites were left without the ability to accept electronic payments, including some Emerge supported ecommerce and MetroPark Reservation System sites. Therefore, we have closely minitored the situation over the weekend.
According to reports, Authorize.net was down on July 3, 2009 from around 2:15 a.m. until Noon Eastern Time. Authorize.net set-up a twitter account to provide updates and respond to questions.
We have reviewed Emerge supported sites and everything appears to have been restored to normal. Please contact us if you notice any issues.
