Consumers More Likely to Use Businesses with Websites
December 3rd, 2007Results from the recent Discover Small Business Watch poll shows that websites produce real results for small businesses. Over half of consumers do online research prior to making a purchase and just under half say they are more likely to use a business if it has a website.
Other Internet related results include:
- 50% of owners said their websites generate direct sales leads for their businesses.
- 49% of business owners regularly communicate with customers via e-mail.
- 11% of shoppers plan to do most of their shopping online.
- 95% of consumers who make online purchases at least once a month feel very or somewhat secure with their transactions.
