Emerge Inc. is seeking an experienced Wordpress Developer. 

Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for development of functional, elegant, and easy-to-use WordPress websites for Emerge and Emerge clients.

Purpose

Emerge is a mission driven team that strives to enrich lives in local communities by providing amazing digital tools for local businesses, non-profits, government agencies and economic development organizations. We are looking for an amazing Wordpress Developer to work in current and new projects for Emerge and Emerge clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with the project manager to understand client requirements and provide time estimates to successfully complete projects
• Spearhead the design and development of functional, elegant, and easy-to-use WordPress websites.
• Utilize WordPress templates or page builders (e.g. Beaver Builder, Divi, etc.) and customize them using appropriate built-in customization tools, custom HTML and CSS, plugins and related tools
• Update website content
• Manage freelance providers as needed
• Stay up to date on trends in website development and periodically share recommendations with the team

• Has at least 3 years of proven Wordpress development experience
• Has strong project management skills to initiate, plan, and execute projects from start to finish
• Possesses strong multitasking ability, with an aptitude for managing multiple deadlines at once
• Detail oriented and flexible/adaptable
• Basic understanding of front end technologies and platforms including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with PHP and/or JavaScript is helpful, but not required

Work Location

• Primarily in-office in Avon Lake, Ohio to collaborate with the team. Option for occasional work from home.
